While shopping, the kids have an altercation with some thugs.
Kurapika was going to get angry, but Pairo stops him and apologizes to the thugs.
After they finished shopping, the thugs ask them money to let them leave the town.

Pairo thinks that they should call the police. Seeing that Pairo's legs are weak, the thugs make him fall, and go on making fool of him.
And so goes Kurapika into Scarlet mode. Some old ladies of the town throw stones on him and accuse him to have the devil's eyes.

Kura & Pairo go home. Kura thought that he will fail the exam, but Pairo knew the exam process and exchanged the eyes rops.
So in the end, Kura succeed, get the elder's permission and leaves his village.

6 weeks later, news about Kuruta massacre spreads all over the world. The 128 villagers have been killed with their eyes taken out.
Near one corpse, there was this message :" Don't steal anything from us, because we don't refuse anything "

Narrator : And so the revenge begin ....
